Warranty & Service Terms and Conditions

Paso Motors warrants each new Paso Motors Motorcycle to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase, conditional on the limitations and exclusions listed below. This warranty applies only to new Paso Motors products.

Service and Maintenance Schedule

To keep your 3 Year Paso Motors Warranty valid, your motorcycle must be serviced in accordance with the following schedule:

  • First Service: 1,000kms or 6 months from purchase (whichever occurs first)
  • Second Service: 2,000kms or 12 months from date of first service (whichever occurs first)
  • Subsequent Services: Every 3,000kms or annually from date of last service (whichever occurs first)

If the recommended service intervals are exceeded by more than 200kms or 1 month, the 3 Year Warranty will be rendered invalid.

Your motorcycle may be serviced by any suitably qualified mechanic. This will not affect your Paso Motors warranty, provided the service is carried out in line with the schedule above.

The owner must keep a complete record of all services and maintenance. Proof of service history will be required to support any warranty claim. The Owner's Manual / Logbook must accompany the motorcycle when a warranty claim is requested. If the Owner's Manual / Logbook is lost or destroyed, proof of purchase documentation clearly identifying the engine or unit serial number will be accepted. Where neither is available and Paso Motors has no record of purchaser details, the warranty period will be calculated from the compliance date of the motorcycle.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

All warranty claims must be authorised by Paso Motors before any repair work is carried out. If you believe your motorcycle has a defect covered under this warranty, you must contact Paso Motors first. Paso Motors will assess the claim, organise the repair, supply the required parts and cover the cost of labour. Repairs carried out without prior authorisation from Paso Motors will not be covered under this warranty.

Once a claim is approved, the repair may be carried out by any suitably qualified mechanic. Paso Motors will supply the necessary parts and pay for the approved repair.

Transportation of the motorcycle to and from the repairer remains the responsibility of the owner.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not apply to:

  • Any part subject to misuse, negligence, accidental damage, improper or inadequate maintenance, or improper storage
  • Damage arising from the use of non-genuine Paso Motors parts
  • Normal maintenance items including but not limited to carburettor adjustment and cleaning, fuel strainer, oil and air filter, cables, brake components, intake and exhaust valves, clutches, and serviceable bearings
  • Normal service items including but not limited to spark plugs, air and oil filters, tyres, brake pads, brake shoes, lightbulbs, fuses, clutch components, and serviceable bearings
  • Deterioration due to normal use, fair wear, and exposure, unless caused by a defect in material or workmanship
  • Damage resulting from operating methods other than those described in the owner's manual, or use beyond published Paso Motors specifications
  • Motorcycles used for racing or competition
  • Motorcycles modified from original Paso Motors specifications, including but not limited to sprocket size, gear ratios, electrical loads, carburation, and intake or exhaust system changes. Fitting a sports kit will also void the warranty.

Limitations and Exclusions

Tyres are warranted against defects in material and workmanship on a pro rata basis, calculated from remaining original tread depth and according to the manufacturer's adjustment price schedule current at the time of adjustment.

Batteries will be replaced on a pro rata basis calculated from the remaining warranted period of the Paso Motors motorcycle.

Paso Motors warranties are not transferable unless the motorcycle is inspected and certified by a Paso Motors approved mechanic prior to transfer of ownership.
